Andy has been identifying and responding to the evolving needs of the high-tech marketplace for more than 30 years. In 1977, he founded Miller Communications, one of the first firms to specialize in public relations for the IT industry. He led that firm from a one-person start-up to a $110 million, twelve-office, global public relations network. More importantly, he set standards for IT positioning and public relations that are emulated coast-to-coast. Andy and his firm have helped guide Software Arts (VisiCalc), Compaq, Lotus, Intel, Cambridge Technology Partners, SAP, Siebel, Internet Capital Group, Akamai, eCredit, VerticalNet and a host of other emerging and established companies. Prior to founding Miller Communications, Andy served in various editorial capacities at Little, Brown & Co., as staff writer for the Associated Press, and as Associate Editor of The Harvard Business Review. He is currently on the Advisory Board of Internet Capital Group and a member of Common Angels, a venture group of technology and investment leaders targeting emerging technologies and promising start-ups. Andy has served as a member of the Governor's Committee on Telecom Policy for the State of Massachusetts, and is a founding member of the Massachusetts Software Council, and a Trustee of the Computer Museum. Andy has also served on the Advisory Council for Neurobiology at the Harvard Medical School and is a member of the Collections Committee of the Harvard University Art Museums. |
