Andy McDonald joined Columbia Bank on June 1, 2004 as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. This position became open earlier in the year when Mark Nelson assumed the new position of Chief Banking Officer.
Prior to joining Columbia Bank, Mr. McDonald was Senior Vice President and Team Leader at US Bank for their South Sound Commercial Banking Group. In 18 years of banking, he has served as a Team Leader for a Media and Telecommunications Banking Group, as well as a Senior Credit Officer and Relationship Manager.
Mr. McDonald has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Washington, and a Masters in Business Administration from Notre Dame University, where he was accepted into the accelerated MBA Program and graduated with Honors.
Mr. McDonald is currently a Board Member of the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce and the Tacoma Actors Guild. He has joined the Boards of Pierce/Thurston County Junior Achievement, and the South sound Boys and Girls Club. He was the Vice Chair of the Chamber's 2003 Total Resource Campaign. He served on the board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters from 1997 to 2002 and was a Founding Board Member of the American Cancer Society's Vertical Challenge Campaign. |
