Ludwick is co-founder of SynOptics Communications and the former CEO of Bay Networks. As CEO of SynOptics from its inception, Ludwick grew the company from a start-up to $700 million in annual revenue. During his tenure, he managed a merger of SynOptics Communications and Wellfleet Systems in 1994 and by 1996, Ludwick had grown Bay Networks from $1.2 to $2.0 billion in annual revenues. He led the company through its acquisition by Nortel Networks 1998. Prior to founding SynOptics, Ludwick was with Xerox Corporation. He now serves on the boards of several companies, including nCircle, Syndera and Macrovision. Ludwick received a BA degree from Harvard College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. In 1996, Ludwick was awarded Harvard Business School's prestigious Alumni Achievement Award for his entrepreneurial success. Ludwick serves on the Dean's Council of Harvard College and is a member of Harvard University's COUR. He also a director of the Santa Rita Foundation, a private non-profit charitable organization. |
