Andy Green was appointed to the Board on 19 November 2001. He was appointed chief executive of BT Group Strategy and Operations in April 2007.
Previously he was chief executive of BT Global Services, BTopenworld (BT's mass market internet services company) and group director of strategy and development for BT during the late 1990s.
Andy began his career with Shell and later joined Deloitte Haskins & Sells where he applied his expertise across a number of key sectors including communications, manufacturing and banking. He is a board member of e-skills UK, ABEDU (a charity with the objective of 'making poverty history') and a non-executive director of NAVTEQ Corporation.
He holds a degree in chemical engineering from Leeds University and is aged 52. |
