Andy Davis serves as Vice President of Mercury Public Affairs in Sacramento, California.Mr. Davis has extensive experience in political and public affairs campaigns across the country. In 2006, Mr. Davis was the Research Director for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's successful re-election campaign where he managed the opposition research effort. Prior to joining Californians for Schwarzenegger, he established and directed the Research Operations Center at the Republican National Committee. National Journal has called the RNC's Research Operations Center "one of the premier news monitoring operations in the political world." While there, Mr. Davis helped shape the research and communications strategies during the historic Supreme Court confirmation hearings of Samuel A. Alito Jr. and John G. Roberts Jr.Before the RNC, Mr. Davis worked on the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign, where he managed the Party for the President program organizing over 30,000 individual grassroots volunteer events. As Deputy eCampaign Manager, he helped direct the groundbreaking online effort to re-elect President Bush in 2004.Prior to his role in Bush-Cheney ’04, he served as Project Director at Public Opinion Strategies, one of the nation's leading survey research firms.A native of Massachusetts, Andy attended George Mason University where he studied at the School of Government and Politics. |
