Andrew is originally from Waterford, Ireland and was educated at the Waterford Institute of Technology and Dublin City University where he gained his Honors Degree in Business Studies. He subsequently gained a Diploma in Business Strategy at the Irish Management Institute and undertook the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management in Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Andrew began his career at IDA Ireland, the Irish Government’s highly successful agency for attracting foreign direct investment into Ireland. Andrew spent 16 years with IDA in a variety of roles focused on committing international investment into Ireland. This included overseas assignments in Germany where he covered German, Austrian, Swiss and Italian markets and later in Chicago where he partnered with US Corporations.
Andrew’s assignments abroad contributed significantly to many large multinational companies establishing high tech Greenfield investments in Ireland. Sectors he has particular success in included Life Sciences, ICT, Globally Traded Service and International Headquarters. These companies were established in Ireland to undertake a range of activities including: Research & Development, Value Added Manufacturing, Technical & Customer Contact Centers, EMEA Headquarters, Treasury and Sales & Marketing operations.
Andrew’s long experience and exposure liaising with Senior Level Executives in multinationals gives him a very strong perspective into clients needs for Executive Talent.
Andrew is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland and is fluent in German.
Andrew’s interests include running, sailing and skiing while he has also recently taken up golf. |
