As Vice President of the Planet’s Federal Practice, Andy leads the federal team to engage senior federal officials and provide focused technical solutions while ensuring the alignment of their technical base to federal (OMB) policy requirements. Under Andy’s leadership, Planet’s Federal client base has quadrupled in the Civilian sector and has extended into the DOD, Homeland Security and Intelligence areas over the past two years. Andy has been instrumental in developing sound Microsoft deployment strategies to the Federal government and this was recently validated by Planet being recognized as the Microsoft Federal Partner of the Year in October 2006. Working closely with Microsoft’s Federal team, Andy and his division have consistently delivered effective and value driven engagements around Microsoft core infrastructure, business intelligence, and collaboration solutions to customers throughout the United States. Andy has been a featured contributor to Washington Technology and Government Computer News on Microsoft architecture and governance.
Before joining Planet Technologies in 2004, Andy was employed by Booz Allen & Hamilton, providing leadership within its Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategy engagements for the United States Department of Defense, in addition to many other federal clients. He has extensive experience working in the IT strategy and EA space, and over the past nine years has led large-scale engagements in the commercial, federal and defense sectors. Prior to moving to the United States Andy served as CIO to a major UK publishing company.
