Andrew Lees, corporate vice president, runs Microsoft Corp.'s Server and Tools Marketing. He provides business leadership, sets worldwide direction for Server and Tools Marketing, and is responsible for all elements of the marketing mix to maximize customer and partner satisfaction and business success.
Lees came to Microsoft corporate headquarters in 2000, after working for 10 years at the Microsoft U.K. subsidiary. At the time of his transfer to Redmond, Wash., Lees was director of the Emerging Markets Group, which serves small and medium-sized businesses. During his tenure at Microsoft U.K., he gained increasing responsibility for marketing within the subsidiary's territory, which includes England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. He also oversaw a number of partnership, business management and sales functions.
Before joining Microsoft in 1990 as a product manager, Lees worked in the U.K. subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Co. for three years. He directed marketing for HPs office systems after leading its technical consulting group.
Lees has a bachelors degree in computer science from the University of Bradford in England. He is married with two children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling around the world and visiting family and friends. |
