Dr. Holzman is an expert in the field of refractive surgery. He has performed well over 40,000 refractive procedures and was one of the first surgeons in the country to be trained in Intacs®, a revolutionary non-laser myopia treatment. He was also named a Star Surgeon by VISX for his performance as a refractive surgeon. This honor places Dr. Holzman in the top five percent of refractive surgeons nationwide based on procedure volume.Dr. Holzman was the first eye surgeon in the Metro DC area to offer CK (Conductive Keratoplasty), a non-laser radio-frequency treatment for hyperopia and presbyopia, and he has been instrumental in bringing other technologies to the forefront in the DC area. In addition, Dr. Holzman has frequently been the LASIK eye surgeon of choice for military and FBI personnel, government officials, airplane pilots, local media personalities, as well as numerous local eye doctors and their families.Dr. Holzman is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an elected member and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. After graduating with honors from Emory University, he received his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at George Washington University.
