Andrew T. Turney is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Los Angeles office. Andrew is a member of the Firm's Corporate Department. His practice is primarily focused in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.
Andrew's experience includes acting as counsel for underwriters and companies in high yield debt offerings and bond tender offers, initial, primary and secondary public equity offerings and private company mergers, as well as representing special committees. He also advises public companies on corporate governance matters including Sarbanes-Oxley and securities law compliance. Prior to entering the practice of law, Andrew served in the U.S. Navy from 1991-2000 as a helicopter pilot and program manager/policy planner for the chief of naval operations.
While in law school, Andrew was an intern with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, Torts Branch. At The UCLA School of Law, he was a senior editor of the Journal of Law and Technology.
Andrew is admitted to the California bar.
