Andrew T. Hunt, Ph.D. - Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer. Starting nGimat as a "one man operation", Dr. Hunt has attracted talented professionals to the company and has developed commercial relationships with industry-leading companies and research partnerships with key government agencies in nGimat's target markets. Andrew has authored two book chapters for industry publications on vapor deposition, published over 25 scientific papers, and has over 50 patents proposed, pending, or mostly issued as a result of his work at nGimat. Andrew received his B.S. in Geology from Auburn University, a Masters Degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, and his Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He received the SAIC award for best Ph.D. paper at Georgia Tech, based on his doctoral thesis on Combustion Chemical Vapor Deposition. Andrew was selected in 2002 for the National Academy of Engineering's (NAE) Frontiers of Engineering Symposium and the 2005 German-US joint meeting. He now serves on the National Materials Advisory Board of the National Research Council (NRC) and on the Georgia Tech External Advisory Board for the school of Materials Science and Engineering (chairman) and College of Engineering. |
