Andrew M. Appel is chief executive officer of Aon Consulting Worldwide Aon’s human capital and management consulting operation.
Appel joined Aon from McKinsey & Company where he was a senior partner in the firm’s Financial Services and Technology practices. While at McKinsey Appel served as a consultant to a wide variety of clients with a focus on investment banks multi-national insurance companies and other financial institutions. Appel also led McKinsey's Chicago Atlanta and Canadian Business Technology offices and was a member of McKinsey's Global Technology Operating and Practice committees. In this capacity he built the firm’s capabilities in the areas of IT management IT operations consolidation and outsourcing consulting.
Previously Appel was the chief operating officer of a regional stock brokerage firm and a production manager for a semiconductor manufacturer.
He earned a master’s of business administration from the University of Chicago where he was the Henry Ford II scholar. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California Los Angeles where he graduated magna cum laude. |
