Andy Snyder is currently CIG’s President and Chairman of CIG’s subsidiaries, ProQuest, Bowker, and Navtech, Inc. and serves on the Board of The Association of American Publishers. Andy is responsible for the day-to-day management of all CIG operating companies as well as the strategic acquisition process for CIG and its companies. Andy began his work with CIG in 2003 and became President in 2004. He orchestrated the $222 million acquisition of ProQuest Information and Learning in February 2007. CIG has grown 450% since Andy came on board at the rate of 62% annually.Prior to joining CIG, Andy spent seven years at the Goldman Sachs Group, most recently as Vice President in the Principal Investment Area where he focused on traditional media, technology and services investing for the firm’s $5.25 billion investment fund. Andy led Goldman’s investments in nearly a dozen companies, including the $1 billion leveraged buyout of the American Golf Corporation. Andy began his career as an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department and also spent one year as the Assistant to the Chairman of Goldman Sachs. Andy graduated cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he graduated magna cum laude. He is a member of the Bar of the State of New York. Andy and his wife Molly live in New York City with their children Sara and Sam. |
