Andrew M. Goldstein's principal areas of practice are real estate acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing, and real estate finance. Mr. Goldstein represents builders, developers, tenants and institutional users of real property. He has particular experience in land development matters. In his thirty years of experience with the firm, Mr. Goldstein has handled many significant real estate transactions in the Washington/Baltimore region. Representative transactions include the following: the sale of all finished lots and parcels in a 3200-unit PUD; a $50 million sale of a corporate headquarters facility; a $40 million acquisition of a tract of land approved for a planned unit development; the sale/leaseback of a 500,000 square foot office building; the leasing of a 300,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility; and the leasing of 150,000 square feet of office space by a national magazine publisher. In addition, Mr. Goldstein has represented national and regional retailers in site acquisition and leasing activities in the Washington/Baltimore region. In the mid-1990's, Mr. Goldstein co-led the firm's team which represented the Resolution Trust Corporation in its disposition, in more than 100 separate transactions, of properties located throughout the U.S. and valued at approximately $500 million. Mr. Goldstein has been named as one of the best real estate lawyers in the State of Maryland by The Best Lawyers in America (2005-2006 edition). Mr. Goldstein is the immediate-past Managing Partner for the firm and the current Head of the Transactions Group.
