Signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2006, Schable went on to appear as a fullback, defensive end and contributor on special teams, appearing in 11 contests in his first season.
2006: Appeared at both defensive end and fullback while also appearing on special teams vs. SF (9/10); used as the blocking back on Edgerrin James’ one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter of the home opener recorded two special teams tackles @ Sea (9/17) appeared on special teams registering one tackle @ Atl (10/1) tied for the team high with two special teams tackles vs. KC (10/8) moved from defensive end to fullback and had an impressive Monday Night performance; established a new season-high with five special teams tackles vs. Chi (10/16) saw action at fullback where he recorded the first rushing attempt of his career which went for five yards @ Oak (10/22) collected one special teams tackle vs. Dal (11/12) collected one special teams tackle vs. Sea (12/10).
College:
Started 39 career games for the South Dakota Coyotes finished with 145 career tackles, including 91 solo stops recorded school-record 44.5 tackles for loss, three pass deflections, three forced fumbles and two blocked kicks had 28.0 quarterback sacks named to the first-team defense on AP’s Little All-American team, becoming South Dakota’s first AP selection since 1988 as a senior in 2005 recorded a school-record 19 quarterback sacks as a senior, which led the NCC and was best in the nation at 1.7 per game named honorable mention All-NCC and started in all 11 games as a junior in 2004 ... as a member of the track team, won the NCC Outdoor title in the shot put (50’00.50)
