Andrew J. Schindler, 61, is retired chairman, Reynolds American Inc. Schindler has a broad range of leadership experience in building a successful branded consumer products company. After serving for five years as chief executive officer of RJR Tobacco Company, he led the spin-off of that business from RJR Nabisco in 1999 and then became chairman and chief executive officer of the new independant company. Later, in 2004, he led the acquisition and subsequent integration of Brown & Williamson with RJR Tobacco Holdings to create Reynolds American Inc, where he served as chairman and chief executive officer through 2005.
