Dr. Boulton holds the titles of Professor of Medicine, University of Manchester, Consultant Physician at Manchester Royal Infirmary, and visiting Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami 2002-2003. Professor Boulton's research interests have always been in the area of diabetes and its complications and he is a recipient of several honors, including the First International award into diabetic foot problems, the Netherlands 1995. He is also a former RD Lawrence Lecturer of the British Diabetes Association, Pecoraro lecturer of the American Diabetes Association and has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international meetings. Professor Boulton is currently Honorary Secretary and Program Chair, and former Chair of Postgraduate Education, for the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, is a past Editor of Diabetic Medicine and has published more than 250 papers and 6 books on diabetes and its complications. |
