Andrew I. Dilworth is a partner with Cooper, White & Cooper LLP, concentrating his practice in the areas of general business litigation, criminal defense, and professional responsibility. Mr. Dilworth is admitted to practice before the California and federal courts. Mr. Dilworth earned his B.A. degree in Philosophy from Northwestern University in 1990. He attended law school at the University of San Francisco where he graduated cum laude in 1995. While attending law school, Mr. Dilworth received academic honors, was granted the American Jurisprudence Award in dispute resolution, received the award for Best Brief in Moot Court competition, and was a participant in the "Advocate of the Year" program. Mr. Dilworth has written several articles in the areas of professional responsibility and criminal defense. His articles have appeared in publications such as the CJA Criminal Defense Journal, the BNA Criminal Practice Report, and the State Bar of California's Criminal Law News. Issues he has addressed include prosecutorial communications with represented parties, assertion of the Fifth Amendment privilege against self incrimination based on a fear of foreign prosecution, "joint defense" communications, third-party fee arrangements, and confidential client communications. |
