Dr. Andrew F. Burke Dr. Burke holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Applied Mathematics, a Master of Arts degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Sciences. Since 1974 his career work has involved many aspects of energy, electric vehicle design, analysis and testing. He served as systems engineer for the Hybrid Vehicle Project at General Electric and consulted to Argonne and Idaho National Engineering Labs on various Department of Energy electric vehicle, battery and ultra capacitor programs. Dr. Burke joined the research faculty of the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California at Davis in 1994. He has performed research on and taught graduate courses on advanced electric driveline technologies specializing in batteries, ultra capacitors, fuel cells, hybrid vehicle design, control and simulation. |
