Mr. Sinwell oversees the telecommunications and media sectors. He has spent 16 years working in and investing in these sectors.
Mr. Sinwell was previously a partner at Madison Dearborn Partners, a Chicago-based private equity fund with a strong telecom and media practice. From 1994-96, he served as Senior Policy Advisor under Chairman Reed Hundt at the Federal Communications Commission, helping devise the rules for the first-ever spectrum auctions.
Mr. Sinwell has been a board member of nine companies in the telecom and media sectors, including Nextel Partners and Focal Communications. He currently does not sit on any boards.
Mr. Sinwell is a graduate of Princeton University (cum laude) (’87) and has an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School (’94). Mr. Sinwell resides in Dallas, TX with his wife and four daughters. |
