Al McKenna is board certified as a specialist in the area of labor and employment law and has been representing management in all aspects of employment and labor law since 1983. He has represented a broad array of employers in a variety of industries all across America. In particular, Al has represented government contractors and defense contractors with labor, employment, Service Contract and Davis-Bacon Act issues for more than 20 years. He is also AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale Hubbell and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the publication Leading Florida Attorneys. Recently, he was recognized by Florida Trend magazine as a member of the "Legal Elite." Only 1.8% of all Florida lawyers received this distinction. Al is also listed The Best Lawyers in America, was recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as one of the "Best of the Bar" in 2005 and was named a 2006 and 2007 "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics Magazine.
Al is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Florida, and the District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
During law school he served as an editor of the Law Review. He is co-author of the firm's Wage and Hour Manual and has written numerous articles on labor and employment law subjects.
