Andrew Honegger is a member of the Corporate Practice Group in the Peoria, Illinois office of Husch & Eppenberger, LLC. Andy concentrates his practice in the areas of banking law, commercial finance, bankruptcy, corporate transactions, and business litigation.
Andy counsels and represents a variety of clients. He advises banks concerning loan documentation, workout situations, day-to-day operations issues, foreclosures and bankruptcies, and corporate structuring. For his business clients, Andy provides advice concerning negotiating contractual terms and resolving contract disputes, provides representation in commercial litigation matters in state and federal court, including bankruptcy litigation matters, provides guidance concerning the formation of business entities, and counsels on matters concerning land use. He advises individuals on many issues ranging from real estate transactions to insurance disputes to estate matters.
After graduating from law school, Andy practiced for six years as an attorney in the Boston, Massachusetts area, representing clients concerning business litigation, commercial contracts, employment matters, and products liability. While practicing law in Boston, Andy also served for two years on the faculty of the Boston University School of Law as a Writing Instructor.
Andy was recognized as the "2007 Volunteer Lawyer of the Year" by the Peoria County Bar Association and Prairie State Legal Services. The award is given each year to a local Peoria-area attorney to acknowledge significant donation of pro bono legal services to indigent persons in need of legal assistance.
In 2006, Andy was named one of Peoria's 40 Leaders Under 40 by Interbusiness Issues magazine. This award is reserved for leaders, achievers, and newsmakers under the age of forty. Andy was selected based on his professional accomplishments and strong commitment to the Peoria area community.
