Andreas Jacobs was elected to the Adecco board of directors on May 23rd 2006 and is member of the Nomination & Compensation Committee.
Andreas Jacobs has been an independent entrepreneur since 1992 with a stake in several European and North American companies. Currently, he is the principal shareholder of Minibar AG and Acentic GmbH, plus a minority investor in several other companies. Since 2001, he has held several executive functions of the Jacobs Family business. He is serving as Executive Chairman of Jacobs Holding AG, Chairman of Barry Callebaut AG, and Vice Chairman of Infront Sports & Media AG.
Before embarking on his entrepreneurial activities, Andreas worked as a consultant and project manager with The Boston Consulting Group in Munich from 1991 to 1993.
After studying law at the Universities of Freiburg im Breisgau, Munich and Montpellier, Andreas obtained a post-graduate degree in European competition law (Dr. jur.) from the University of Freiburg. He was later awarded a Master of Business Administration by INSEAD in Fontainebleau.
Born in Bremen in 1963, Andreas Jacobs is married and has four children.
