Andrea is vice president/general manager of Cellular Therapies for Baxter International in Deerfield, Ill. She is responsible for Baxter’s Cellular Therapies business, which is focused on the development of stem cell therapies. She is also focused on the corporation's growth and launching new products and services. These responsibilities include managing an internal corporate incubator group dedicated to the development of new growth opportunities for Baxter. Andrea is a member of Baxter’s Innovation Council and Senior Management team. Before joining Baxter in 1988, she worked for the Weight Watchers division of H.J. Heinz in business development. Before that, she worked for Technomic Consultants. Andrea earned a bachelor’s degree in hospital dietetics from the University of Illinois, and a master of business administration degree from the University of Michigan. She currently serves on the University of Illinois Medical School advisory board. She was appointed to the national board in July 2003. She and her husband live in Chicago. |
