Andrea Silverstein Glaser, an associate with the firm, practices in the firm’s Litigation and Products Liability Groups. She is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York. Andrea has significant experience handling products liability litigation in the automotive and pharmaceutical industries. In the automotive area, she has prepared for all phases of litigation, including obtaining and working with expert witnesses, taking depositions, and writing motions and settlement negotiations. She has represented automobile and motorcycle manufacturers in failure to warn, manufacturing defect and lemon law (consumer fraud) cases. She has also handled extensive document review and drafted discovery for a major pharmaceutical company during a series of nationwide class action suits.
In addition to products liability litigation, Andrea has dealt with insurance litigation on behalf of a company that lost business locations after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City. Andrea also represents a state university in the prosecution of municipal matters such as DWI, simple assault, domestic violence, and traffic and disorderly conduct offenses. Andrea is diligent in anticipating the adversary’s tactics and developing theories to position the client as favorably as possible. She strives to be an advocate for each of her clients, making herself accessible and responsive to their inquiries at all times.
Andrea is a member of the NMM Women’s Forum Education Subcommittee, which is responsible for the professional development and training of the firm’s women attorneys.
Prior to working at Norris McLaughlin, Andrea served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Alan Kay, U.S. Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. While in law school, her Note, Standardized Tests: The Continuation of Gender Bias in Higher Education, was published in the Hofstra Law Review. |
