Mr. Boisvert has been in the technology field for over 30 years. Boisvert started his career with IBM in 1976 where he spent 13 years. While at IBM, Boisvert held senior management positions in sales, marketing and Research & Development. After leaving IBM, Boisvert held executive positions in some of the best respected software companies in the industry, such as Cognos Corporation and Oracle Corporation where he was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and was a member of Oracle's Management committee.In 2000, Boisvert was recruited to the post of President and COO, SAS Institute Inc, the world's largest privately held software company with revenues exceeding a $1.5 Billion annually, with the mission of bringing the company public. When the plans for an IPO were subsequently abandoned, Boisvert followed one of SAS' investment by becoming Chairman and CEO of Sagent Technologies (NASDAQ: SGNT). In April of 2004, Boisvert successfully completed the sale of Sagent Technologies Inc. to Group 1 Software Inc (NASDAQ:GSOF).In October 2004, Boisvert co-founded Pentaho Corporation, the world's leading open source business intelligence platform. As Pentaho's Chairman, Boisvert plays an active role in the area of strategic alliances and business development for the company. Boisvert is also a private investor and Chairman of Compiere Inc, the world's leading integrated open source ERP & CRM company and Zenoss Inc., the leading open source Network and System monitoring company. Additionally Boisvert serves on the board of directors of SlickEdit Inc. and UBMatrix Corp.Boisvert is also active in the venture investment community and as such consults for some of the leading venture firms. |
