André J. Bourque joined CGI in 1999 and he is currently Executive Vice-President and Chief Legal Officer. Prior to joining CGI, André was involved in the private practice of law, namely in technology and intellectual property transactions, including outsourcing and other strategic commercial alliances. André also held senior-level positions, notably with a leading international information technology (IT) company and a major financial conglomerate. He began his career as a trial lawyer with a prominent Montreal-based law firm where he specialized in civil and professional liability matters as well as in insurance law. André is a member of the Quebec Bar and the Canadian Bar Association. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Jeanne-Mance Healthcare and Social Services Foundation.
