Seeking a career where Amy could apply her communications skills and scientific strengths, she began her public relations career with Positio (formerly Mathews & Clark Communications) quickly progressing from a junior position to corporate management with responsibility for the Texas and subsequently New England regional offices. In her years with M&C Amy represented an impressive list of clients including equipment, materials and chipmakers. Offered the opportunity in 2001 to expand her repertoire into the full range of marketing communications Amy joined a semiconductor advanced process control software company, New Vision Systems. In this role she managed all corporate and product public and media relations; wrote and produced all collateral materials; managed trade shows; and wrote and maintained the company's website. After New Vision Systems' acquisition by INFICON in 2003 Amy was moved into product management allowing her to learn a unique set of skills over and above traditional marketing communications; including management of the division's product lifecycle process, feature prioritization, and product roadmaps. Approached by Dave in 2004, Amy recognized the unique nature of elev8 Public Relations, both in terms of what it offered its clients as well as its employees, and she joined on as a principal that year. Amy moved to Impress Public Relations when the companies merged in 2006. |
