Amy Pelletier is the Mobility Project Manager at the Reason Foundation, a Los Angeles based think tank that promotes individual liberty, government accountability, and market-based reform. She works with researchers, policy experts, and public officials to alleviate the effects of congestion on US cities. Before joining the staff at Reason, Amy was the Chief Operating Officer at the Institute for Humane Studies (IHS), a non-profit educational organization that educates over a thousand students each year about the ideas of liberty. Her role on the Mobility Project brings together that management experience with her interest in policy. Amy was introduced to the world of economics and free-market policy at an IHS student conference. Inspired, she joined IHS with the intention of eventually studying Austrian Economics at the graduate level, and there discovered that coordinating organizational activities in the pursuit of liberty was a rewarding and exciting endeavor. One of her extracurricular interests is working with others in the public policy world to attract talented young managers and leaders to non-profit organizations. Amy received a B.A. from American University in Political Science. She lives in south Orange County, California with her partner Paul and two wonderful little boys. |
