Amy Chiu is vice president of audit services for Sempra Energy a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity natural gas and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies’ 13 500 employees serve more than 29 million consumers worldwide.
As vice president of audit services Chiu oversees Sempra Energy’s internal audit function.
Prior to her position as vice president Chiu was director of business planning where she oversaw the company’s mergers and acquisitions. Before that Chiu held the positions of manager of executive projects and economic analysis.
Prior to joining Sempra Energy Chiu held senior-level financial and actuarial analyst positions for Intelsat and Watson Wyatt Worldwide.
Chiu is currently on the board of directors of The Preuss School at University of California San Diego.
Chiu received a master’s degree in business administration from American University Doctor of Philosophy degree from Boston University in mathematics and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Mills College.
