As True Value Company’s senior vice president of human resources and communications, Amy Mysel is responsible for human resources, corporate communications, True Value University, community affairs, travel, and headquarter administration.
Mysel, who joined the co-op in 2002 as vice president, was promoted to her current position in September of 2003. She has more than 28 years of management experience in human resources and related fields.
From 1996 to 2002, she was executive vice president of human resources, planning and communications for Market Day, Inc., a $250 million consumer products distribution company that operates in 15 cities nationwide. Mysel also served as vice president of human resources for Caremark International, a $2 billion diversified healthcare provider, from 1993-1996.
She was also vice president at Lee Hecht Harrison, 1988-1993, a market leading management consulting firm that operates in more than 35 cities worldwide. In 1982, Mysel joined Foote, Cone & Belding, where she served as senior vice president of corporate human resources for this world-renowned international advertising, communication and promotions firm. She began her career in 1975 and held positions from personnel manager to executive director with Fortune 500 companies that included Hyatt International, Westin and Playboy Enterprises.
Mysel earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of the Pacific and is a current board member of HRMAC, and former board member and human resources advisor for the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. |
