Amy K. Savage is a Managing Director in the Washington, D.C. office of Major, Lindsey & Africa. She focuses on associate level searches. Amy completed a substantial number of associate placements into highly regarded law firms before joining MLA.
Before her legal recruiting career, Amy was a commercial litigation associate with Shaw Pittman. Amy moved to Shaw Pittman as a lateral associate from Ross, Dixon & Bell in Washington, D.C. Having made a lateral move, Amy brings with her an understanding of the concerns attorneys have about changing firms. Her participation in firm recruiting programs also gives her unique insight into the hiring needs of law firms.
Amy earned her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a member of the Barrister's Council and served as Articles Editor of the American Criminal Law Review. She earned her B.A. in university studies with honors from Eastern New Mexico University. Before entering Georgetown, she was an assistant to a Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Virginia and a paralegal in the Richmond office of Hunton & Williams.
A native and current resident of Virginia, Amy is married and has two children. She enjoys traveling, learning to play golf, and spending time with her family when she is not at the office. |
