Amit Sharma joined American Tower in September 2007 as the company’s Executive Vice President, Asia and President of its Asian subsidiary. Prior to joining American Tower, Sharma led country teams in India and Southeast Asia for Motorola, as Country President, India and as Head of Strategy, Asia-Pacific. He also served on Motorola’s Asia Pacific Board and was a member of its senior leadership team. Prior to joining Motorola, Sharma was with GE Capital, serving as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development. Prior to that, he spent time with McKinsey, New York, serving as a core member of the firm's Electronics and Marketing Practices. He currently serves as a director of NIIT Technologies Limited and is on the India Advisory Board for NEA - a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Sharma earned his MBA in International Business from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and holds an MS in Computer Science from the Moore School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. |
