Amiram Levinberg co-founded Gilat and served on its board from the Company's founding in 1987 until 2004. From July 1995, he served as Gilat's President and until 2002, Mr. Levinberg also served as the Company's Chief Operations Officer. Until July 1995, he served as Gilat's Vice President of Engineering. In this capacity, Mr. Levinberg supervised the development of Gilat's VSATs. From 1977 to 1987, Mr. Levinberg served in a research and development unit of the Israeli Defense Forces. He was awarded the Israel Defense Award in 1988.
Amiram Levinberg holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering and Electronics and a M.Sc degree in Digital Communications from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. |
