With a passion for excellence, Amanda Vasas is thrilled to build her career at John Bailey & Associates (JB&A) contributing to such accounts as Honigman, Miller, Schwartz and Cohn, the Campaign for Smokefree Air (CSA), H.E.A.T. (Help Eliminate Auto Thefts), Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards (MACMHB), LS Power and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan.
Amanda graduated with high honors from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a specialization Public Relations. During her time at Michigan State, she interned at the JB&A Public Affairs office in Lansing where she contributed to the CSA account and BREATHE (Bar and Restaurant Employees Advocating Together for a Healthy Environment) initiative. At MSU, she led a BREATHE committee in outreach efforts to gain employee support for smokefree bars and restaurants in Michigan.
Prior to joining JB&A, Amanda held a public relations internship at Marketing Communications for MSU’s Division of Housing & Food Services, the single largest auxiliary division of its kind nationwide. She also publicized and performed in the 2006 MSU production of The Vagina Monologues, advocating breaking the silence and ending the violence against women and girls worldwide.
Amanda has a love for music and all things British and in her spare time, doubles as publicist and #1 fan for her husband Mike’s rock band, Mike Vasas and The Beasts of Burden. Amanda resides in Lansing with her husband Mike, a bamboo plant, a cactus and an African violet.
