Amanda M. Betman is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s New York office. She is a member of the Trial Department.
Prior to joining McDermott, Amanda worked as a legal intern for Brooklyn Law School Legal Services, where she successfully tried a federal jury trial involving claims of first impression under the Americans with Disabilities Act. She also served as a legal intern for the Honorable Debra Freeman, Magistrate-Judge, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
While in law school, Amanda was a notes and comments editor for the Brooklyn Law Review. She was a Carswell Merit Scholar and received the Dean Jerome Price Prize, the Doris A. Thompson and Edward Thompson Award for Excellence in Professional Skills, and CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Excellence in Evidence and Excellence in Negotiation.
