Alyson Bruns focuses her practice primarily on employment law. She has considerable litigation and arbitration experience. She has arbitrated cases before the New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers. These cases primarily involved discrimination, harassment and executive compensation. Alyson also has broad experience in counseling clients on e-discovery issues.
Prior to joining Ford & Harrison, Alyson represented institutional investors in all aspects of prosecuting large-scale securities class action suits. Her responsibilities included drafting class action complaints, writing and responding to motions, legal research and analysis, and substantial participation in discovery.
Alyson is licensed to practice before all New York state courts and the U.S. District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is a member of the State of New York, City of New York and American Bar Associations.
During law school, Alyson participated in foreign study at the Cornell Law School and Universite de Paris I and served as Managing Editor for the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy. Alyson also served as a research assistant to Cornell Law School's current Dean, Stewart Schwab.
