Alvin R. Lustgarten has served since 2001 as Hearst-Argyle Television’s vice president IT and administration. He previously was the Company’s manager of information services.
Lustgarten’s administrative responsibilities include real estate and facilities management and procurement. He also serves as Hearst-Argyle’s business continuity officer. His IT responsibilities include network and client server administration telecommunications procurement IT support training and network security. Lustgarten also has responsibility for administration of Hearst-Argyle’s capital spending programs and provides strategic leadership for many of the company’s new technology initiatives.
Lustgarten served in a number of finance accounting and technology positions within The Hearst Corporation prior to joining Hearst-Argyle upon its formation in 1997. He joined Hearst in 1981 in the accounting and finance department of its Hearst Magazines Division.
Lustgarten participates within a number of technology and information-security committees on behalf of The Hearst Corporation and its support role for Hearst-Argyle. He also serves within numerous industry committees including the Advisory Technology Committee of WideOrbit a leading advertising-traffic software provider; the Technical Standards and E-Business Task Forces of the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB); and the Joint Task Force of the TVB and the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) on EDI Processes. He is a member of the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association (BCFM).
Lustgarten received his undergraduate degree from the University of Hartford and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. |
