Al Yother, 54, serves as Chief Financial Officer of Regions. He previously served as controller for Regions and prior to the merger of Regions and AmSouth, held the position of CFO at AmSouth. He joined AmSouth in 2004 and has more than 25 years of banking experience.
Yother was previously employed with SouthTrust Corporation where he served as Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Controller. During his 24 years with SouthTrust, he held various positions in finance with increasing responsibilities, including Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions and Management Accounting. He was previously employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Birmingham Branch.
Yother holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is a graduate of the BAI School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin; Madison, Wisconsin.
He is a member of the board of directors of Hibbett Sporting Goods, Inc. and serves on Dean’s Advisory Board of Samford University’s School of Business. |
