is a Senior Genetic Counselor at GeneDx, Inc. Originally from Pittsburgh, she graduated from the Sarah Lawrence College genetic counseling program in 1999. Prior to joining the GeneDx team, Allison worked at the Southern Maine Regional Genetics Program where she provided prenatal, pediatric, and adult genetic counseling services, and later as founder and director of the Cancer Genetic Counseling program at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia. Her clinical background and expertise in hereditary cancer syndromes is complemented by experience in genetics education. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors' Familial Cancer Risk Counseling and Industry Special Interest Groups. |
