Ms. Bruns is an associate in the Business and Finance Department. She graduated cum laude from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1999, where she served as president of the Hispanic Law Student Association. Ms. Bruns studied the Spanish civil law system at the Universidad Carlos III and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from DePauw University. Ms. Bruns also studied at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain before attending law school, and afterward, she became a Rotary International Cultural Ambassadorial Scholar in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. She returned to Germany in 2002 where, as a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow, she worked at the German Federal Ministry of Justice in Berlin and then in the legal department of Siemens AG in Munich. Ms. Bruns has extensive experience in US and European copyright and trademark law, as well as the drafting of contracts relating to computer software, hardware, e-commerce, Web site development and consulting. She also has represented both licensors and licensees in the negotiation of all types of copyright, trademark and patent licenses. Ms. Bruns is fluent in both Spanish and German and is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio. She also is a member of the firm's Professional Women's Resource group (PWRG) |
