Allie Mysliwy is executive vice president and chief business services officer, responsible for Safeco's marketing, communication, community relations, human resources, operations and business continuity functions. Mysliwy previously served as executive vice president-Human Resources. In this role, he championed Safeco’s transformation to a performance-driven culture, centered on clear goals, personal accountability and rewards tied to achievement and contribution. With a focus on training, development, total rewards and diversity, the company has made significant progress in attracting and retaining top talent. Mysliwy joined Safeco in 1981 as a personnel representative in Safeco’s Chicago office. He was named personnel manager in 1982, then moved to the Toronto office in 1983 as region personnel manager. In 1985, he moved to Denver as personnel manager for the Southwest Region. In 1990, he was named assistant director of Personnel for Safeco’s Property and Casualty companies, and in 1994 he was named vice president of Human Resources for Safeco Life Insurance Company. He became vice president of Human Resources for Safeco in 1999, and was named senior vice president in 2001, and executive vice president in 2004. Mysliwy earned a B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., in 1976, and served as a Naval officer until 1981. |
