Allen is the founder and CEO of SentiVU Corporation. Allen co-founded Acsera (now ClearApp) with Derek Palma in 2002, and served as its Chief Executive Officer till March 2006. Prior to Acsera Corporation, Allen was the COO of the Appeal Virtual Machines, the makers of JROckit. Appeal Virtual Machines developed and marketed the award-winning JRockit Java Virtual Machine, which was acquired by BEA systems in 2002. Prior to Appeal Virtual Machine, Allen held various executive level sales, marketing and business development positions at Symantec. Allen has been involved with Java since 1995 and was part of the team that developed and marketed Café and Visual Café product. Allen has served on a number of standards bodies including the OMG and was a key contributor in the formation of the Java Community Process. Allen started his career with MultiScope, a leader in debugging technology that was acquired by Symantec in 1992. Allen holds a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering and has completed the Stanford University executive institute program. |
