Mr. Guon has focused his practice on the representation of debtors, trustees, creditors’ committees and creditors in all aspects of the insolvency practice including chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court workouts, sales of financially distressed companies and 363 asset sales. Mr. Guon also represents parties in interest in bankruptcy-related litigation and adversary proceedings.
Among his more recent accomplishments, Mr. Guon successfully confirmed a chapter 11 plan of reorganization for Mid-City Parking, Inc., an automobile parking company located in Chicago. Mr. Guon has also had primary responsibilities in the successful chapter 11 going-concern sales of Bachrach Clothing, Inc., a national clothing retailer and Appliance Controls Group, Inc., a national manufacturer of combustion related components for the gas cooking appliance industry. Mr. Guon has also represented chapter 7 trustees in several cases throughout the country including Nanovation Technologies, Inc. (Illinois), McCook Metals, LLC (Illinois), Jore Corporation (Montana) and Mego Financial Corp. (Nevada).
