Mr. Questrom served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of J. C. Penney Company, Inc. from September 2000 until his retirement in 2005. Mr. Questrom spent most of his 40 year retailing career with Federated Department Stores, Inc., where he retired from his position as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in May 1997. Prior to that, he had served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Neiman Marcus from 1988 to 1990. In May 1999, Mr. Questrom was appointed Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Barneys New York, Inc. He is a member of the board of directors of Sotheby's Holdings, Inc. and Burt's Bees, and is a member of the National Committee of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. |
