Mr. Cowie is President of Wireless Age Communications Ltd. and Wireless Source Distribution Ltd., which respectively are the Retail and Wholesale operating entities owned by Wireless Age Communications Inc. (WLSA). As President of these companies, Mr. Cowie is responsible for the operation and growth of the continuing operations of Wireless Age Communications Inc.
Mr. Cowie has been with the company since July of 2000, starting as VP of Finance and Operations, prior to the companies going public and was appointed President of both entitles in 2004. He played key roles in growth of the retail business and in the creation and operation of the wholesale business unit, Wireless Source, and the Land Mobile Radio distribution business. During his time with the company, it has grown from a retail based operation with approximately $7 million CDN to the combined levels of both retail and wholesale of over $27 million CDN as of 2006.
Mr. Cowie holds a CMA designation and more than 20 years experience in growing retail and technology based companies. He has held senior management and executive officer level positions in several companies during his career including information technology companies, a major Western Canadian retailer and was also Chief Financial Officer of a major Western Canadian engineering/information technology company with over 200 professionals in Canada and internationally prior to joining Wireless Age. |
