Mr. Deaver, 71, retired in 1998 as executive vice president and a director of Armstrong World Industries, Inc., of Lancaster, Pa. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He is a director of the Geisinger Health System. Mr. Deaver is chair of the Compensation, Governance and Nominating Committee and a member of the Executive, Finance and Nuclear Oversight committees. He also serves as the presiding director who chairs executive sessions of the independent directors. He has been a director since 1991; his term ends in 2009. |
