Allan is a seasoned, top-level executive with over 25 years of strategic and tactical experience in a wide variety of industries and business environments, including numerous technology startups. As President of CRH & Associates since 1991, Allan spearheaded the emergence and/or growth of over 30 established businesses and new ventures for this global consulting company, which provides management support in strategic planning, new business development, marketing planning/execution, market research and communications. His diverse list of clients and assignments included: IBM (consumer software exploration), The Bank of Louisville (business development plan), Horn Abbot / Hasbro (digital media expansion plan for Trivial Pursuit game) and Monsanto (worldwide launch of major new technology to both the industrial and consumer marketplace). Prior to consulting, Allan held senior marketing management and sales positions with Crescent Foods, Hunt-Wesson Foods (Con-Agra) and Oscar Mayer. During his six years at Hunt-Wesson, he managed three of the company’s leading brands, and as VP of Marketing for Crescent Foods, he lead the complete overhaul and successful reintroduction of a forgotten brand line. Allan also has extensive experience with non-profit organizations on a volunteer basis. He was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services to a four-year term on the National Advisory Board for Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (a National Institutes of Health board that develops recommendations for Congress). He also served as President of the National Psoriasis Foundation, a 20,000-member organization located in Portland, OR. His education includes a MBA degree in Marketing from Arizona State University and a BS degree in Communications from Northwestern University. He is a licensed pilot with land and sea ratings, and his other outside interests include The Arts, distance swimming, skiing, sports public address announcing, and travel. |
