Allan L.R. Lannom works on complex financial opinions and financings and he has been a principal of Houlihan Valuation Advisors since 1992. Prior to his involvement with Houlihan, he was the National Technical Director of Business Valuations for BDO Seidman. Mr. Lannom was previously President of Business Valuation Services, Inc., 1976-1988, Manager of Analysis and Appraisal at Herbert C. Hansen, Inc. 1972-1976, and Assistant to the Senior Vice President at Marshall & Stevens, Inc. 1969-1972. Mr. Lannom has been actively involved in the appraisal profession since 1969. He has prepared, supervised, or consulted upon appraisal assignments covering most facets of valuation relative to business enterprise and intangible property.
Appraisals conducted by Mr. Lannom have been utilized for the purpose of sale/purchase, financing, income tax, ad valorem tax, estate and inheritance tax, allocation of purchase price, corporate planning, community property settlement, estate planning, partnership and corporation recapitalizations, trust creation and development, implementation and continued reassessment of employee stock ownership plans. His experience includes many sophisticated engagements involving shareholder disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency. Mr. Lannom has rendered expert testimony on over 75 matters in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, U.S. District Courts, and in various County CourtsMr. Lannom is a Fellow and Senior Appraiser in the American Society of Appraisers, designation FASA, and served as International President of ASA during the 1989-1990 year. He is also a Fellow (designation FSVA) of the Incorporated Society of Valuers & Auctioneers, London, England. Mr. Lannom is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and the ESOP Association (Valuation Advisory Committee member). He was a contributing author to The Handbook of Business Valuation. Mr. Lannom is a frequent speaker to business associations and professional firms on a wide variety of appraisal topics. He has earned a M.S. in Business Education and a B.S. in Marketing from Northern Illinois University. |
