Allan S. Pilson has been practicing intellectual property law with the New York Office of
Ladas & Parry LLP (formerly Langner, Parry, Card & Langner) since 1966. Mr. Pilson is a Partner in Ladas & Parry and practices in the New York Office’s Trademarks Department. His areas of specialization include international trademark prosecution, litigation and licensing. Mr. Pilson holds a BA degree from American University and a JD degree from The George Washington University School of Law. He is a member of the Advisory Board of “The Trademark Reporter,” the trademark law journal of the International Trademark Association (INTA), on which he has served as editor-in-chief. He was also a founding editor of “Trademark World.” Mr. Pilson has been a member of the Board of Directors of INTA, where he also previously chaired its International Trademark Committee, and has served on many INTA committees, including its Task Force on Internationalism, the Publishing Board and as a member of the Organizing Committee for the highly successful INTA “World Trademarks Symposium — Trademarks in 2017.” Mr. Pilson has also chaired the American Bar Association’s Committee 202 on International Trademarks. Mr. Pilson has lectured at numerous INTA meetings and forums and has been a guest lecturer at the New York University Graduate School of Law. He has also appeared as an expert witness before courts and arbitration panels on the issue of international trademark protection. Mr. Pilson has a particular interest in Latin American intellectual property matters. He recently concluded a 14 year term as Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of the Inter-American Association of Industrial Property (“ASIPI”). |
